  The woodpecker is nicknamed the carpenter in the bird world. Because it makes a very attractive nest. There are two species of woodpeckers in Sri Lanka. They are making cages in areas with water or near the water. They form a large number of nests in the same tree. their eggs are white. The woodpecker makes a long nest that hangs down beautifully. The entrance is at the bottom. Sometimes two-story cages are also made. There is a scientific reason for that. That is to either side. He is also known as the "Anangaya" of the bird world.
